STAFF EXCHANGE 1

Special focus on preparation of students before next meeting

The first staff meeting took place in Simrishamn Sweden 11 to 16 February 2019 with two representatives from each of the other three participating schools.

This was of our directives for the meeting and who it was executed

– Exchanging experiences, knowledge, professional skills and different teaching methods

The teachers from France showed their School platform tool and we compared it with the systems used in Sweden that is based on Google G-Suite. There were some similarities but also som differences. It is always interesting to learn what other school have experienced. We decided to use Google forms for the Assessment and we will try to use the same questions when and if it is possible.

During the week several teaching training activities took place. Teachers were divided into international teams and each team visited six classes or student activities. There were several different lessons represented, Media production, Leadership, Theatre, English, Theme, Swedish, Math, Physics, Spanish, French, German, Sports, Philosophy, Dance class, Psychology and youth culture.

– Making a lesson or a presentation of their own school to students and staff.

The three participation nations Slovakia Czech and France presented their schools for staff.

– Making a video report of the week (staff and students interviews, presentation of the week, impact of the project on students and staff, perception from an outside perspective) to be used on the MORE You Tube Channel
Every team got a camera so they could take pictures and make videos/interviews during the week. On the last day everything was assembled and published. You can find the results ni the video section.
– Making on the platform and facebook a photo album of the week

Photos of the week was uploaded along with videos and other material such as presentations and files.

– Making a short web page on the platform and integrating some photos and the video report of the week.

A webpage was created and a description along with photos and videos was uploaded. You are looking at it right now 🙂

On the first day Nova Academy´s representative Sara Westberg gave our guests a detailed presentation about the Swedish school system. 

– Assessing the meeting by filling the online assessment made during the staff exchange

An online form with the assessment of the week was filled out on the last day.

The result was gladly very positive and our guests had a very good time in Simrishamn Sweden.

Monday 11 February

Day of arrival. Time depending on the last arrival.

Dinner arranged by school at Hotel Svea prel. 18.00
Meeting where we go through the week schedule and discuss any problems or late changes

 

Tuesday 12 February

09.00- 10.00 Official meet and greet by our headmaster and/or representative from our municipality.
10.15-11.30 Introduction to the Swedish school system by Ms Sara Westberg

11.30-12.30 Lunch

12.30-15.20 Observing class and teaching methods in Sweden in general and Nova in particular. 1

15.20-18.00 Free time

18.00-22.00 Dinner and each country present their school and theme of the mobility

(What will the students learn when they come to Sweden, Czech rep. and France)

 

Wednesday 13 February

09.00- 11.30 Creating online assessment

11.30-12.30 Lunch

12.30-15.20 Visit to places and experiences connected to the students mobility to Simrishamn

and arranging proper preparations for students. We focus on Art and History(Castles,
open air museums folklore and architecture) 12-16 Simrishamns museum.

15.20-18.00 Free time

18.00-22.00 Dinner/ After Work at Hickory Arranged by Linda Månsson/Uffe Holmström 18.00

and arranging proper preparations for students. We focus on Art and History(Castles,

Finalizing video and publish it.
Publishing picture and create webpage for the week

15.20-18.00 Free time

18.00-22.00 Farewell dinner arranged by Anna Kesar
